Food Bikes

Today I discovered a fantastic food delivery service company called Manivela. Manivela – Spanish for “crank” as in the center part of the bicycle focuses on food delivery service from any restaurant in the uptown and downtown areas. Best part is they deliver food to your door by bicycle. That’s right any and all restaurants in the following areas: North Park, Down Town, Banker’s Hill, Hillcrest, Mission Hills, University Heights, Normal Heights, Kensington, South Park and Golden Hill. They really support local independently owned restaurants, which is exactly what San Diego needs to thrive. Being a local business owner I know how important it is to support other local business owners. Don’t you think things just taste and feel better when you are eating at a local independent restaurant versus a chain restaurant? What are you are getting is heart and soul so why not have it in the comfort of your own home. It’s a great way to practice being green by not wasting gas to drive and pick up take out. Hopefully they will be expanding to your area soon. This is just another perk for me to move to a more urban area! Not sure which area but someplace where they deliver food on bikes. I’m counting the days!
